Mohamed Youssry

Soloist

Mohamed Youssry, born in Egypt, completed his dance education at the Academy of Art in Cairo and got already at this time the opportunity to collect first stage experiences at the Cairo Opera House. His first engagement brought him directly to Europe, as a member of the Jeune ballet de France, followed by a contract as a professional dancer at the Ballet Company of the Semper Opera in Dresden. After four years in Dresden he joined the Ballet Company in Leipzig as a soloist in 2004. Was he there mainly seen in choreographies by Uwe Scholz and Heinz Spoerli, his repertoire in complete includes also a broad spectrum of pieces from John Neumeier and Uwe Scholz and classic masterworks such as Sleeping Beauty,Swan Lake, Don Quixote and La fille mal gardée.

Since 2007/2008 he has been engaged as a soloist at the Bavarian State Ballet.
