During the holidays we are going to present two works by composers that you will also encounter at this year's Munich Opera Festival. This summer's festival focus is dedicated to the portrayal of various facets of love by Richard Wagner and Giacomo Puccini. You can already get a taste of this at Easter:
With Wagner's last music drama Parsifal, the Easter opera par excellence is on stage. The stage consecration festival, which takes place on Good Friday, revolves around the themes of redemption, suffering and torment and takes up the classic legend of the Holy Grail. Puccini's Il trittico is dedicated to love, redemption and death with its various faces and contains one of the most popular arias of all.
