INTRODUCTORY EVENT TO SCHMETTERLING

The famous duo Sol León and Paul Lightfoot will present the two ballets Silent Screen and Schmetterling at the introductory matinee. These two pieces are being performed for the first time by a company other than the Netherlands Dans Theater (NDT). Dramaturg Serge Honegger will host the event. He will chat with Sol León and Paul Lightfoot about their choreographic language, the way they work together as an artistic duo, their stage aesthetics and the connection between art and life. In addition, the two reveal why they chose the German word Schmetterling for the production. Dancers from the Bayerisches Staatsballett will perform three scenes from Silent Screen and Schmetterling. The conversation will be held in English.
