The Bavarian State Orchestra has been nominated for the "2022 Orchestra of the Year" by the editors of Gramophone Magazine. Ten international orchestras are selected each year, and this year the Bayerisches Staatsorchester is the only orchestra from Germany. Background:
The Gramophone Classical Music Awards are among the most important prizes in the classical music industry. They have been awarded annually by the British Gramophone Magazine since 1977. Previous winners include the Philadelphia Orchestra.
