Chloé Albaret
Chloé Albaret was born near Grenoble, France, and started dancing at the age of 15. In 2007 she integrated a pre-professional school named Mondap’Art in Nîmes, France, in 2008 she was accepted at the Ballet Junior of Geneva in Switzerland where she studied dance for 2 years.
In 2010 she joined Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) 2 under the direction of Gerald Tibbs and moved to the main company NDT1 in 2013 under the direction of Paul Lightfoot. Throughout her career in NDT she worked with many choreographers and makers such as Jirí Kylián, Mats Ek, William Forsythe, Marco Goecke, Crystal Pite, Hofesh Shechter and Sharon Eyal to name but a few. For her performance in Edward Clug’s creation APERTURE, she was awarded the Dutch dance award “Zwaan” in the "best dance performance" category in 2020. After leaving NDT in 2022, Chloé continued her dance career as a freelancer. She is also working with numerous dance companies as a rehearsal director/Stager for choreographers Sol Leòn & Paul Lightfool, Imre & Marne van Opstal and Edward Clug. In addition, she is teaching dance as an international guest teacher throughout Europe.
