Łukasz Bałoniak
Corps de ballet
Born in Poland, Łukasz Bałoniak received his training at the Szkoła Tańca i Baletu “Fouetté” in Poznań (2008-2011), at the National Ballet School «Olga Sławska-Lipczyńska» in Poznań (2011-2018) and at the National Ballet School «Roman Turczynowicz» in Warsaw (2018-2020). During his studies, he took part in a semi-staged production of Rameau's ballet opera Naïs, which was performed at the Warsaw Philharmonic. In 2020, he took part in the Prix de Lausanne, having previously received the “Discovery of the Year” Award at the 2019 Balanchine Festival in Kutaisi (Georgia) and having won the Third Prize at thje Wojciech Wiesiołłowski Ballet Competition in Gdansk in 2019.
In 2020 he joined the Polish National Ballet in Warsaw under the direction of Krzystof Pastor, where he danced in Le Corsaire (Manuel Legris), Mayerling (Kenneth MacMillan), Don Kichot (Alexei Fadeyechev), Giselle (Maina Gielgud) and Nutcracker and The Mouse King (Wayne Eagling), among others. He took on the roles of Renfield in Krzystof Pastor's Dracula and Knot in Anna Hop's Pinocchio.
Łukasz Bałoniak joined Bayerisches Staatssballett in season 2024/25 as a corps de ballet member.
