Andrea Bernhard
Corps de ballet
Andrea Bernhard was born in Kiel, Germany, and got trained at the Balletacademy/Heinz-Bosl-Stiftung. In 1984 she won the bronze medal at the German Dance Competition. Since 1985/86 she has been member of the Corps de ballet of the Bavarian State Ballet. In 1993 she created her first own choreography. Solo roles among others: Pas de six and Bathilde in Peter Wrights Giselle, Effie in La Sylphide, a fairy as well as White Cat in The Sleeping Beauty, in Hans van Manen-Ballets Concertante and Grosse Fuge. She performed one of the little swans in Swan Lake, in A Cinderella Story the "Princess from a foreign country", and Jirí Kylián's Bella Figura. Created a role in Jacopo Godani's After Dark. In 2000 she received a ballet teaching diploma. Gave birth to daughter Lara-Sophie In September 2002.
