Justin de Jager

Originally coming from breakdancing, Justin trained at Fontys University of the Arts in Tilburg and at the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company. His duet Grayscale won him both first prize at AmsterDans and the audience award at the Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition. In 2020, he was awarded the Spreksel Award. He first collaborated with Emma Portner on the film Sit Bones (2019), he then was a choreographic assistant for her creations islands (Norwegian National Ballet, 2020) and elephant (Kammerballetten in Copenhagen, 2024). Justin is also performing together with Emma Portner in her dance film A very crooked bridge (2025).
