Clark Eselgroth
Soloist
Clark hails from Durham, North Carolina and started dance at the age of 7. He trained at the Ballet Conservatory of Asheville and the International Ballet Academy in Cary. At the age of 15 moved to the UK to study for three years at the Royal Ballet School in London. While in school, Clark received the Kevin O’Hare scholarship and achieved his Bachelor's Degree. After graduating in 2021, he joined the Finnish National Ballet’s Youth Company. In 2022, winning the 1st Prize in the Helsinki International Ballet Competition. After two years in the Youth Company, Clark joined the Corps and after one season was promoted the rank of First Soloist. In 2023, he received the Outi and Jan Vapaavouri Foundation ‘Young Dancer Award’. Clark has choreographed for draft workshops in both the Royal Ballet School and the Finnish National Ballet. He worked with Bayerisches Staatsballett as a guest dancer for the Sphären.03 Multiple Bill in June 2025, taking over a part in Dimo Milev's new work In fragments. Starting with the 2025/26 season, he formally joined Bayerisches Staatsballett as a Demi-Soloist. He was promoted to Soloist on 28 March 2026, the opening night of the Common Ground triple bill.
