Manoela Gonçalves

Media Manager

Manoela hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. She initially took dance lessons at the Escola Estadual de Dança ‘Maria Olenewa’ in her home town before moving on to the San Francisco Ballet School. She eventually completed her training as a scholarship holder at the English National Ballet School. From 2012 to 2014, she was a member of the Junior Ballet at the Zurich Opera House, and from 2014 to 2017 she danced in the corps de ballet of the Bavarian State Ballet. After a season with the Leipzig Ballet, she joined Béjart Ballet in Lausanne in 2018. Since 2023, she has been working as a freelance choreographer; her works have been recognised at events such as the Joffrey Ballet’s ‘Winning Works’ choreographic competition in Chicago and the fourth edition of the ‘Concours des Jeunes Chorégraphes’ in Biarritz.

At the beginning of the 2024-25 season, Manoela has joined the staff of Bayerisches Staatsballett as a media manager and videographer/video editor.
