Nicolas Grosclaude

Ballet master

Nicolas Grosclaude grew up in Alsace and took his first hip-hop class at the age of 15. During a six-month stay in Düsseldorf, he intensively explored the physicality, intensity and creativity inherent in this art. After completing his studies, he joined the Rêvolution formation in Bordeaux, where he learnt about ballet and contemporary dance, among other things, which led him to expand his repertoire. After a year, he joined his first professional company in Copenhagen. He then returned to France and worked with various companies and dance creators, including Andrew Skeels, Fouad Boussouf, Thomas Guerry, Mourad Merzouki, Souhail Marchiche and Mehdi Meghari, Patrick de Oliveira, Richard Gratas and Mathieu Bord. In the 2023-24 season, Nicolas Grosclaude is working with Andrew Skeels on the new creation Chasm at the Bayerisches Staatsballett.
