Head of dramaturgy

Serge Honegger studied German literature, art history and organisation theory. At the University of St.Gallen he received his doctorate with an interdisciplinary work on choreographic instructions in written form (title: """"Lenkung und Ablenkung"""" (Control and Deflection). The theatres to which he has been engaged for productions in the fields of opera, dance and drama include Zurich Opera House, Staatsoper unter den Linden, Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Theater St.Gallen, Schauspielhaus Zurich and Watermill Center New York. Since the 2020/2021 season he has been working as a dramaturg for the Bavarian State Ballet. Among the dance and theatre professionals with whom Serge Honegger has worked are Franziska Angerer, Özkan Ayik, Liliana Cavani, Charlotte Edmonds, Jürgen Flimm, Jan Schmidt-Garre, Yossi Berg und Oded Graf, Claus Guth, Daniel Hay-Gordon, Jens-Daniel Herzog, Andrey KaLinda Kapetanea und Jozef Frucek, Andrey Kaydanovskiy, Konstantin Keykhel, Philippe Kratz, Marcel Leemann, Jonathan Lunn, Vladimir Malakhov, Yuki Mori, Alexei Ratmansky, Marco Santi, Johannes Schmid, Heinz Spoerli, Stephan Thoss, Beate Vollack and Robert Wilson.
