Natalia Kalinitchenko

Principal dancer

Natalia Kalinitchenko was born in Tajikistan and trained in the State Ballet School of Kiev. She won awards in numerous competitions, e.g. 1993 in Varna/Bulgaria and 1995 in Osaka/Japan.

1993 was appointed soloist at the State Theater of Kiev and in 2000 she received an engagement at the ballet company of Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf. Under the direction of Youri Vàmos she danced various main roles, e.g. in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella.
In September 2003 she joined the Bavarian State Ballet as a soloist and became principal in season 2005/2006.
