Andrew Litton

Conductor
Andrew Litton is Music Director of the New York City Ballet. He is also Honorary Conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and was previously Honorary Conductor of the Bergen Philharmonic in Norway. An enthusiastic opera and ballet conductor with a keen sense of the theatrical, Andrew Litton has conducted productions at theatres around the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera Covent Garden, Australian Opera and Deutsche Oper Berlin. In Norway, he was instrumental in the founding of Bergen National Opera, where he has conducted numerous critically acclaimed performances. His work with the New York City Ballet has also been praised by critics, dancers and audiences and has helped the ballet's orchestra gain new prominence. In the 2024/25 season, he will make his debut with the Bayerisches Staatsorchester as part of the three-part ballet evening Wings of Memory.
