was born in Ulm (Germany) and trained at the John Cranko Ballet School in Stuttgart and the Munich Ballet Academy. He joined the Bayerisches Staatsballett as a corps de ballet dancer in 1987 and was promoted to second soloist in 1993. He has been dancing solo roles such as Paris and Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet and in modern ballets such as Lucinda Childs' Chamber Symphony and van Manen's Five Tangos. In 1995/1996 he studied choreology at the Benesh Institute in London. Stefan Moser ended his active career as a dancer with receiving the position as the chairman of the personal department of the Bavarian State Opera.
He can still be seen on stage in various character roles.
