Madeleine Salhany

Madeleine Salhany is a Canadian dancer and choreographer, currently performing with Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal under the direction of Alexandra Damiani. She is a graduate of the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase (BFA), where she received rigorous training in both classical and contemporary dance. Following her studies, Madeleine worked professionally in Germany for four years, dancing with Tanzcompagnie Gießen and Ballett Theater Trier, where she deepened her artistic voice within the European contemporary dance scene.
Throughout her career, Madeleine has had the privilege of performing works by internationally renowned choreographers including Ohad Naharin, Fernando Melo, Jo Strømgren, Gustavo Ramírez Sansano, Andonis Foniadakis, Mauro Astolfi, Georg Reischl, Sidra Bell, Ana Maria Lucaciu, Marne van Opstal, and Itzik Galili, among others. Her performances have taken her to numerous festivals and galas across Europe, where she has also presented her own choreographic work. Madeleine has recently begun expanding her practice into choreographic assistance and rehearsal direction, working alongside Roberto Scafati in Germany and now Emma Portner as well.
