Judith Seibert

In addition to rhythmic gymnastics, Judith Seibert began her ballet training at the Heinz Bosl Foundation (Munich), but then oriented herself towards modern dance. During several stays abroad (including Elisabeth Hill School St. Helens, Pineapple London, Center de Danse Paris) she deepened her knowledge of jazz, contemporary, hip hop and break dance and finally completed her professional training with a degree in stage dance at the Iwanson School in Munich. Since 2006 she has been working as a dancer for the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. Other engagements since then have been at the Ingolstadt City Theatre, for the tour production Best of Musicals, for Strado Compania Danza in Ulm and many more. Since 2013 she has been working as a choreographer at the Theater an der Donau (now Junge Ulmer Bühne, JUB for short), where she performed the full-length play Wer nicht verrückt wird, der ist nicht normal. She directed Die dumme Augustine, Nils Holgersson and Malala as dance theatre. She choreographed the world premiere of Der Brandner Kasper for the Gut Immling Opera Festival and worked as a choreographer for opera productions such as Lucia di Lammermoor, The Tales of Hoffmann and La traviata. Her play Benimmmichnicht! was nominated for the Bavarian Theatre Days 2020 in Memmingen in May. Since 2020, she has received structural funding from the City of Munich and was able to produce the play Das Mädchen, das die Sonne klaute with the support of the DAKU Fund.
