Yun Wang

Yun Wang, born 1988, graduated 2005 from the Liaoning Ballet School and is Principal Dancer of the Liaoning Ballet in China.
She was a laureate of several domestic and international competitions, Gold Medal Senior Division in the 7th Taoli Cup Dance Competition (2007), Gold Medal at the 5th international ballet competition in Seoul (2008), the Jury Special Award of the first Beijing international ballet competition (2011) and the "Special Award" at the international Ballet competition in Helsinki (2012), the highest award of this competition and the prize for the best Tchaikovsky interpretation.

In 2008 she was nominated Honorary Citizen of Hawaii. Wang was invited to perform in China and around the world, in Galas in Hungary and Hong Kong.
In 2008 she performed the leading roles in Don Quixote, Le Corsaire, Raymonda and Napoli in six different cities in the United States.
Her repertory includes female leading roles in many classical ballets: The Nutcracker, Giselle, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty.
In Munich she will make her Germany debut as Nikija in La Bayadère in September 2012.
