BRUNNENHOF-FESTIVAL

Let’s celebrate! As part of the September Festival, we want to begin the new season together with all Munich residents. The Bayerische Staatsoper invites you to a big party in the Brunnenhof (between Cuvilliés-Theatre and Residenz). Opera scenes, dancing, group activities, games, entertainment and information will alternate. Artists of the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Bavarian State Ballet and the Bavarian State Orchestra as well as a wide variety of artists and collectives from all over the city will take to the stage and mingle with the audience. Presenter Daniela Köhler, supported by Klaus Krückemeyer on Sunday, will guide the audience through the programme together with the dramaturges of the theatre. She will interview our new managing director Serge Dorny and provide a glimpse behind the scenes. Staff members of the National Theatre will present themselves and their departments and make everyday theatre life tangible. A children's programme, opera games, a costume market and culinary delights will ensure two exciting afternoons: on Saturday, September 18 from 3 p.m. and on Sunday, September 19 from 1 p.m. In the evening, DJ Tiefgeist will perform with a violinist and a young opera singer. Electronic sounds included!
