1. Kammerkonzert der Orchesterakademie 2017/18
1st Chamber Music Concert by the Orchestra Academy 2017/18

The Orchestra Academy of the Bayerisches Staatsorchester offers highly talented musicians aged 26 and under the opportunity to gain their first professional experiences and to get to know the extensive repertoire of one of the world's leading opera orchestras. Over two years the academy participants will take part up to ten times each month in rehearsals, concerts and opera and ballet performances, and receive regular classes with Bayerisches Staatsorchester soloists. The training also includes chamber music and solo performances, as well as audition preparation and mental training. Graduates of the Orchestra Academy have already been engaged by major international orchestras, including the Bayerisches Staatsorchester itself. The Orchestra Academy was founded in 2002 as an initiative of the Bayerisches Staatsorchester, and is run by Christiane Arnold and Frank Bloedhorn, both members of the orchestra.
