Marina Fernandes da Costa Duarte was born in 1999 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and started her ballet training at the Escola Estadual de Danças Maria Olenewa at the age of eight. For her participation in the finals of the Youth America Grand Prix 2013 in New York, she received a scholarship from the Académie Princesse Grace in Monte-Carlo, where she completed her training till 2017. She danced in the corps de ballet of the Bayerisches Staatsballet from 2017/28
