Jakob Feyferlik

Principal

Jakob Feyferlik trained as a dancer at the ballet department of the Vienna Conservatory and at the Vienna State Opera Ballet School. In 2013 he joined the Vienna State Ballet, where he was promoted directly from corps de ballet to soloist in 2016. In February 2019, he was appointed principal dancer after a performance of Rudolf Nureyev's Swan Lake. In 2019, Jakob Feyferlik appeared as guest soloist at the Dutch National Ballet's annual gala, dancing Hans van Manen's iconic duet Trois Gnossiennes with former principal dancer Igone de Jongh. He then also danced the role of the Prince in The Nutcracker in December 2019. Following these performances, he joined the Dutch National Ballet as Principal dancer in September 2020. Jakob Feyferlik joined the Bayerisches Staatsballett as Principal dancer at the start of the 2023-24 season. His awards include second place at the Premio Roma Danza (2012), third place at the 4th International Ballet Competition in Beijing, China (2012), the Karl Musil Memorial Award (2014) and the Sponsorship Award of the Vienna State Opera & Volksoper Ballet Club (2016).
