Christopher Warmuth

Christopher Warmuth studied music journalism, cultural and media management, and psychology. He worked as a freelance music critic: in addition to music journalism for public broadcasters (BR, WDR, etc.) and various print and online magazines, he regularly published in the Arts section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung. He then worked in cultural management at the Heidelberger Frühling music festival, where he designed the interdisciplinary LAB (including music theater Castor&&Pollux, staged song recital DIA_LOG, etc.), was responsible for the digital strategy of the institution and was the referent to the artistic director. Christopher Warmuth has been dramaturge at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich since the 2021/22 season. In the 2022/23 season, he is involved as dramaturg in the new productions Il ritorno / Das Jahr des magischen Denkens (director: Christopher Rüping) and Semele (director: Claus Guth), in the 2023/24 season for Die Passagierin (director: Tobias Kratzer) and Die Fledermaus (director: Barrie Kosky).
