Leoš Janácek: Zápisník zmizelého / Diary of One Who Disappeared
Nature, love, loneliness - these are the central themes that the great Czech composer Leoš Janáček was always concerned with throughout his life and which led to works of consummate humanity in his seventh decade of life. The song cycle Diary of One Who Disappeared is one of them: the infinitely sad and insecure love of a man leads to his loneliness - reflected in the contemplation of nature - and finally to his disappearance.
A figure predestined for the tenor Pavol Breslik, who will interpret the cycle with his piano partner Róbert Pechanec in a scenic setting by Friederike Blum on the last theatre weekend of the 19/20 season.
