Zhanna Gubanova

Soloist

Zhanna Gubanova was born in 1996 in Simferopol, in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine). In 2006 she entered the State Choreographic School in Kiev. She graduated in 2014 in the class of Dolgih Z.G. and during her studies she took part in numerous competitions and was ranked second place at the International Serge Lifar Competition in 2011 in Donetsk (Ukraine). In 2013 she received the Gold Medal in the Ballet category at the Delphic Youth Games of the CIS Member States in Novosibirsk. From 2014 to 2016 she was engaged by the Kremlin Ballet in Moscow and subsequently danced at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre in Moscow as one of the Ведущие солисты (Leading Soloists) from 2016 to 2022. Zhanna Gubanova has been dancing in the corps de ballet at Bayerisches Staatsballett since the 2023/24 season and was promoted to demi-soloist for the 2024/25 saison, and to soloist on the Opening Night of thze Wings of Memory Triple Bill, on April 10, 2025.
