Phoebe Schembri

Demi-Soloist

Phoebe hails from Malta, and began her dance training at an early age. In 2017, she moved to London to continue her professional dance training at the English National Ballet School. There, she studied repertoire spanning from August Bournonville and Marius Petipa to Antonio Castilla and Carlos Valcàrcel. She performed with the English National Ballet in their production of The Nutcracker. Phoebe joined Bayerisches Junior Ballett München in 2020/21 and has joined the main company as a group dancer in the 2021/22 season. She was promoted to Demi-Soloist on 28 March 2026, the opening night of the Common Ground triple bill. In June 2026. she was awarded the componay's Aurora Prize for Emerging Artists, a prize offered for the first time by one of the company's major donors.
