2026/27 Auditions

The Opernstudio – the Young Artist Program of the Bavarian State Opera – supports highly talented young artists and prepares them for an international career in step with actual practice. 

The age limit is 28 years on the closing date. Applications from persons over 28 years of age will not be processed.


As application materials the artists need to send in:
- application form 
- CV
- photo
- recording of 3 arias or songs (including one aria by Mozart and if possible one German aria)

Closing date for applications for the 2026/27 season is August 31st, 2025.
Auditions for selected candidates will take place in November 2025.
Further information on the auditions will be announced in due time.
