Auditions 2027/28

The Opernstudio – the Young Artist Program of the Bayerische Staatsoper – supports highly talented young artists and prepares them for an international career in step with actual practice. 

The age limit is 28 years on the closing date. Applications from persons over 28 years of age will not be processed.


As application materials the artists need to send in:
- application form (please download from www.staatsoper.de/opernstudio)
- CV
- photo
- recording of 3 arias or songs (including one aria by Mozart and if possible one German aria)

Closing date for applications for the 2027/28 season is September 18th, 2026. Auditions for selected candidates will take place in November 2026. Further information on the auditions will be announced in due time.
