Dani Gibson

Dani Gibson was born in Mackay, Queensland and began her ballet training at age 12. After two years of guidance with Margaret Lucas, she was accepted into the Queensland Ballet Academy and graduated in 2017. Dani Gibson continued her training with Queensland Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program, graduating with the Francois Klaus and Robyn White Award in 2019. During her time in the program, she was involved in many Queensland Ballet productions. She performed in classics, such as; Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker, Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet as well as touring with the company for Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella. At age 19, Dani successfully auditioned for the Paris Opera Ballet. In 2020, she joined the company, performing George Balanchine’s Serenade and Concerto Barocco. 2021 saw Gibson return home to Australia to work alongside former Australian Ballet Principal, Daniel Gaudiello. There she prepared for her debut of Giselle, for the Ballet International Gala in January 2022. Since the beginning of the 2022/23 saison, Dani Gibson has been a member of the corps de ballet at Bayerisches Staatsballett.
