Jinhao Zhang
Principal Dancer
Jinhao Zhang was born in 1995 in Dalian, PR China, and grew up in Shanghai. He studied at the Tongji University, Shanghai from 2010 to 2014. He was a Silver medalist at the Genée International Ballet Competition in 2011, Prize winner at Prix de Lausanne in 2013 and won the Silver Medal and the Best Choreography Award at the Beijing International Ballet and Choreography Competition in 2015. He became a student at the English National Ballet School in 2013 and joined the English National Ballet in 2014, winning its Emerging Dancer Award in 2015. In the 2017/18 season, Jinhao Zhang joined Bayerisches Staatsballett as a demi-soloist. He was promoted to soloist in season 2018/19 and to principal in the 2021/22 season.
